-An evening with the Devil himself
It’s a quiet evening at the Crooked Comet. The dance floor is empty all but for one tipsy couple, pawing at each other with slurs and purrs. The psychic jukebox is a little worn out from last night’s twerk off, so the volume is low, and the hypnotic rhythm of the creaking floorboards is making my eyelids feel heavy.
A little intuitive nudge directs my gaze towards the glowing, steel doors where wisps of smoke have begun to infiltrate the gaps in the seams. The sight perks me up just before the scent hits my nostrils. Complex and addictive aromas of fresh baked cookies, dollar bills, sweaty sex, with a hint of sulfur. I know who it is before the doors open. I know because this isn’t his first visit to the Comet. I know because we go way back. The Devil himself. Lucian.

Episode #0- The Fool pays a quick visit
Asha- Welcome travelers. Tonight at the Comet we have a surprise visit from our friend Orbit Jones. Orbit is what we like to call a noncommittal genius in progress, known for his eclectic dabbling and quantum handyman skills (though, unlicensed). Don't let this handsome face draw you in too hard ladies and gents, he is a hard one to pin down, and prefers to spend his days adventuring with his little furry sidekick, Ziggy. Orbit, Thanks for landing at the Comet.
Orbit- It's good to be here. I've been on the run for quite a while, dodging this gang of Arctwerkians that were trying to get me to join their dance group. I Love to dance but I'm not really into joining groups.
Asha- Arc-twerk-ians, you say? Well, you're safe here, guests are not able to enter without a super secret password. But on the chance they do show up, I'm not gonna lie, I think we could host an epic twerk battle. The psychic jukebox could whip us up a good playlist.
Orbit- HA! I have no doubt but careful what you ask for, even though they love to twerk they are kind of a serious lot. Have you ever twerked with someone while they were stone-face staring you in the eyes?
Asha- I can't say that I have but I'm into some pretty strange things. Either way, I know you gotta be on your way so we'll make this quick. Your home planet is Uranus and Ive heard through the frequencies that it's getting a kind of wild over there. Tell our listeners a little about the vibe over in that corner of the galaxy.
Orbit- Well, Uranus is known for being extremely unconventional. Just as an orbital planet, it sits cockeyed and spins backwards. Uranians are chaotic, and futuristic. Like a mad scientist with an incredible sense of humor. They are spontaneous but loyal. One time my best friend hacked the inter-stellar wi-fi stream just to buy a vintage reflective body suit on Etsy. The shipping costs were insane..
Asha- I can only imagine! It's no secret that Uranus is going through a huge transition on July 7th. Everyone that's been coming into the Comet has been feeling the buzz. Can you tell us more about what we can all expect.
Orbit- Yeah, it's actually pretty intense! Uranus is moving into Gemini and it hasn't been there in over 80 Earth years so for many beings,, it's their first time experiencing this flavor of chaos. There is an intensity to thought processes. Shorter attention spans. New obsessions. And expect conversations to get weirder, but more honest. Gemini invites curiosity and pair that with the electricity of Uranus and you've got a revolution of ideas. Language as rebellion. Humor as truth serum. New ways to say things that were never allowed to be said.
Asha- Sounds like dangerous times for conformity. I'm here for it. Any advice for anyone trying to work with this energy instead of feeling zapped by it?
Orbit- Pay attention to what sparks your curiosity. Especially if it makes no sense. Tell your truth in a unique way. Be ready to let go of ideas that once defined you. Don't worry about the whole story. Just take the next step. Don't try to understand this transit, just notice it. It's already been happening.
